Shkatulka, the Russian word for “casket,” connotes a traditional keepsake box with hidden valuables inside. Lesha Galkin’s interpretation is a wooden box that can be taken apart and reassembled to form a desk organizer or a catch-all. Making the quality design reality was a collaborative effort. Pavel Brick and Matthias Marte of Verstak did the woodwork, and Aleksandr Baharev of Juzzline carved the marble.
