FriendsWithYou (FWY), the “magic, luck and friendship” duo Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, is releasing its first book this Sunday, May 31 from 3-6:00 pm. Published by Rizzoli Books, the hot new title includes photos of the inimitable artwork and essays by Peter Doroshenko, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Pharrell Williams. MOCA will host the party and signing in their patio and gift shop. In addition to a chance to buy the book and meet the artists, the festivities will include a fun house, sound by Money Mark, and live airbrushing by Malcolm Stuart. The fun house will embody FWY’s post-pop flair, playing with toy and video game imagery in a world of bright colors, soft fabrics, and high gloss. In the spirit of sharing happiness, the show will come to the East Coast on June 5, bringing childlike cheer to Paul Kasmin Shop in New York City.
