Incandescences by Xavier Dumoulin

“Incandescences” is a striking collection of unedited images by French photographer Xavier Dumoulin. The series took more than a year to create, as Dumoulin shot after dusk, at specific locations, and under the full moon. Over a period of exposure, the landscapes seem to transform. Electrical lighting turns into a fire-like blur which engulfs cities and villages alike. The dramatic images evoke thoughts of environmental destruction at the same time that they are markedly beautiful. The photographs are currently on display and available for purchase at Wanted Gallery in Paris.
