Andreu Carulla designed this bench for a former convent, the Bernardes Cultural Center of Spain. The unique piece is handcrafted from beech wood and wicker and naturally finished for a timeless look. As the techniques and inspirations are traditional, the designer imagines that the same furniture “could have been made a hundred years ago.” The restrained design provides a comfortable seat for the center’s visitors without distracting them from the history and contemporary experience of the site.
