Nendo founder Oki Sato was born in Toronto in 1975 and completed his MA in Architecture at Waseda University in 2002. He established the design studio in Tokyo the same year, opening the Nendo Milan office in 2005. The studio's portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from product and furniture design to architecture, interior design, and branding. Oki Sato’s work has received international recognition. The list of prestigious awards includes iF and Red Dot design awards as well as “Designer of the Year” at Maison & Objet and “Designer of the Year” at the ELLE DECO International Design Awards. Nendo products can be found in permanent museum collections, including at MoMA in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and Triennale Design Museum in Milan, among many others.
