FLOAT is a mobile kitchen made of high quality materials including wood, copper, and marble. Handcrafted in Spain, the modular design was created by the company Miras. Each of the five units can be detached and rearranged as one system or a scattered collection of furniture. The pieces are not confined to the walls, and this makes it easier for more than one person to work in the kitchen without stepping on the cook’s toes. Intended to change to fit the individual’s dynamic lifestyle, the modules can even be taken out of the kitchen and used in other parts of the house as end tables, bookshelves, and more. The units include a sink, a prep counter with drawers, a screened drying rack, a bar and serving cart, and a pantry. The kitchen also comes with a free-standing pegboard divider that can be readily customized with wall-mounted hangers, spice racks, and little shelves. Each of the pieces is sleek and clean-lined for an altogether contemporary look.
