Just because you’ve grown up doesn’t mean you can’t have toys; popular toy company Meccano, well-known for its construction kits with endless creative possibilities, has created a line of furniture for adults with the same imagination and playful spirit that has become synonymous with the company name. First presented in Paris at Maison & Objet 2015, Meccano Home offers endless configuration possibilities with a sleek and simple design that makes the collection universally accessible. 20 different perforated modules can be joined with Mecanno’s classic nut and bolt system, which allows the consumer to build practically anything from a stool to a modular shelf, all with the joy and ease of assembling a new toy.

Lizzie Wright

Lizzie

Lizzie Wright is an aspiring artist and designer with a passion for the written word. While she works on her BFA in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she spends her (rare) spare time riding around Providence on her trusty Cannondale and drinking lots of coffee. She is especially fascinated by the dichotomy between aesthetic form and function, which has an immense influence on her work. As a lover of the natural world, Lizzie plans to focus on Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies to pursue a more efficient future for design. Read more by visiting her website
