Nominated by the Design Museum for Designs of the Year 2015, the Double O Light was created by the British designer and cyclist Paul Cocksedge. The water-resistant bicycle accessory features an internal magnet and a rubber strap. Together, these two elements make the item easy to attach anywhere on one’s bike, helmet, coat, or backpack. Furthermore, the design fits into a standard anti-theft lock because of its ring shape. The LEDs are spaced along the circular face so that, although they project 85 lumens like a standard bike light, they do not temporarily blind other cyclists like many devices do. Available in red, white, and blue, the bright little design is powered by 3 AAA batteries and illuminates the road for up to 50 hours at a time. The Double O Light can be ordered online for 29€ each or 49€ for a pair.
