Reportedly the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, this shipping container home was designed by Patrick Bradley Architects in County Cavan. Composed of four 45-foot shipping containers, the house is arranged so that the upper level bisects the lower level. On the top floor, there are two balconies, facing South and West. Both provide clear views of the Drumlamph Woodland and the Grillagh River. Throughout the house, scattered full-height windows open up the rooms to the surrounding landscape, too.

Outside, the home is clad in gray treated metal and rust-orange, natural Corten steel. Within the home, there is an open kitchen, dining room, and den on the top floor, plus a master bedroom and a bathroom on the ground. The two levels are connected inside and out by steel staircases. In style, the structures and furnishings are industrial yet elegant. A prime example is the suspended bathtub, similar to the one we featured here.
