Debuting at Salone del Mobile in April, this collection of wooden furniture was designed by the British architect David Chipperfield for the German company e15. A renowned architect, Chipperfield is known for his redesign of the Neues Museum in Berlin, among other iconic buildings. This time, Chipperfield draws inspiration from the English countryside. The resulting pieces echo rural imagery through their strong lines, sparing construction, and anglophile names: the Fayland table, the Fawley bench, and the Langley stool. Made from one’s choice of European walnut or solid oak, the designs are handsome and durable. The table will soon be available in four lengths, and each of the furnishings comes sealed in natural oil, white pigment, or black finish, as specified.
