Mormor series is a ceramics range created by designer Gry Fager for Normann Copenhagen. The inspiration in the pattern is textile, and it incorporates the Danish culinary tradition. “I have been inspired by the atmosphere and the character of the kitchen, particularly older kitchens from my grandmother’s time and I have transferred the kitchen clichés into a modern context” says the Danish designer. The “Mormor” range meaning “Grandmother” in Danish, highlights the emphasis put on a revisited tradition. The set includes porcelain plates, bowls, decanters, eggs cups and boards and it comes in three different motives; Mormor Blue, Mormor Ribbed and Mormor Square.
