With the barbecue pits extinguished and the summer winding down, it won’t be long before the colors of the leaves change and fall into autumn. For those who live for their art like a mother lives for her children, it is also a time to look forward to the fall collections apparel designers have devised to make the most of this changing context of colors, smells and sounds. Warby Parker’s collection of glasses frames take inspiration mainly from the palette of the season, offering a warm array of all sorts of reds, browns and oranges. These hues mix well with the styles of frames that have come into vogue in the last few years, providing an elegant take on the tortoiseshell finishes that seem to be replacing the stark black glasses so often associated with hipster artists and designers (Le Corbusier can take the blame for the origin of that trend I think). They are guaranteed to bring a new definition to ones look, and also that great mix of high quality and affordability to be worn daily. Their range of geometries gives one an option for every face shape and contour, and while they are inspired by the autumnal aesthetic, their beauty makes them suitable for all seasons. Warby Parker

Nathaniel Barlam

Nathaniel

Amid the unrest of earning his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from RISD, Nathaniel manages to find the time to read, write, hang out with friends, play drums, and listen to music. Nathaniel has learned a lot about architecture firsthand thanks to opportunities to live and work in Rome and Brooklyn during the past year. Coming from a family with strong roots in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Nathaniel has always maintained a strong love for NYC especially, and after his studies finish up in Providence he may move there for a while. He hasn't decided yet. You can connect with him via Linkedin or by visiting his Portfolio page.
