A Changeable Timepiece

The so-called “Classic Collection” from Lorenzo Buffa and Analog Watch Co. demonstrates the evolution of the brand’s experimentation with natural materials and dependable functionality. Marble, wood, and ceramic stone faces paired with ultra thin American-made leather straps make for an familiar, elegant artifact that lives a life alongside its wearer; organic components develop a unique character — much like the Mason Watch and Carpenter Collection before – that’s truly enchanting. Not to mention their meticulous craftsmanship — from local leather smiths to the careful creation of dials from ceramic stone and wood from lumber off-cuts – which brings the 20th century-inspired design to life. But the highlight of their new series is a set of interchangeable straps that allow the user to adapt to their daily style with ease.

“A timepiece should be a work of art,” say the designers, who have certainly live up to their word. Available in white marble, black granite, makore wood, silverheart wood, or gold paired with straps in black, tan, cherry, forest, or navy, the “Solo Classic Watch” offers 25 possible options to those who back its Kickstarter campaign — starting at just $59 for a watch with your choice of face and strap. Each is complete with premium Swiss parts Ronda movement, internal analog quartz crystal movement, and a battery that will last for at least three years. “Making such a minimal product has required restraint…we aimed to create something accessible, flexible, and beautiful.” And that it is. Back the project now to get your own watch before Christmas.
