Precision, highly-advanced technology and elegant design are brought together in an innovative product that brings a new twist to classic speedometers. In a world’s first, Omata has created an analog speedometer, designed specifically for cyclists. The team behind the company is made of designers, engineers, and brand specialists who share a love of cycling and simplicity, believing that “great design and meaningful products come more from what you leave out, rather than what you add in.” Omata One is the culmination of years of experience in the industry combined with a desire to create a product that can represent the beauty and clarity one can only experience while riding. The minimalist speedometer is elegant and it’s intended to become a natural extension of any type of bike.

Accuracy and efficiency are packaged in a stylish design which blends retro accents and distinct contemporary vibes. The bespoke numeral set is designed to offer perfect legibility while riding thanks to clean lines and tone contrasts. The GPS placed inside the speedometer matches the precision of any type of state-of-the-art tracking device and records a vast amount of data which can be transferred to a computer or other device. To convert the data into analog movement, the company has created a custom mechanical sub-assembly, made in partnership with Seiko Precision Inc. The display features four measurements: speed, distance, ascent, and time, beautifully maintaining the concept of simplicity. Omata One has an active battery life of around 24 hours, and will be available in gray and white, with a choice of either imperial or metric units. This beautiful analog speedometer will be sent to the backers of the Kickstarter campaign in February of 2017. It will also be available later for the rest of the world on the company’s website.
