Designed for vinyl fans and audiophiles who love all things analog, the new RT80 and RT81 high-fidelity turntables by Fluance aim to rekindle the passion for the warm, smooth, and clear sound of classic vinyl records. Based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Fluance has been making premium speakers and revolutionizing the home audio industry since 1999. The company’s philosophy is defined by five crucial points: “Sound Quality, Solid Construction, Performance, Style, and Value”, all providing the foundation for designing high-end speakers which offer superior sound. These two turntables are no exception. Made with premium components that include high-quality Texas Instruments preamp and gold plated RCA line outputs, the RT80 and RT81 incorporate both advanced features and craftsmanship supported by years of experience in audio engineering.
The result is a finely-tuned belt driven machine that can reproduce the sound of artists’ performances with impressive accuracy. The RT80 features the AT91 Audio Technica needle while the RT81 includes the more advanced AT95E Audio Technica version, but both bring a new level of clarity to music, free of noise and distortion. The MDF wood cabinets are audiophile-grade and feature isolation feet and a die-cast aluminum platter to reduce reverberations. A hollow cabinet is used for the RT80 while the RT81 comes with a solid body that reduces reverberations further. A balanced aluminum S-Type tonearm combines with an anti-skating feature and the smooth movement of inside bearings to ensure protection of valuable vinyl records, reproducing the details perfectly at the same time. The turntables play classic LP and EP records, 33 1/3 or 45 RPM, so can listen to a 50s jazz album or to a 2016 record from your favorite band. Apart from offering excellent sound, the turntables have a stylish design, featuring clean lines and contemporary minimalism. The RT80 comes in a piano black finish, while the RT81 boasts a walnut brown tone. Visit the Kickstarter page to find out more about the two models and to pre-order them at a reduced price.
