The new Pavilion speakers made by Hult Design expertly combine style and substance. The striking appearance is more reminiscent of a modern industrial sculpture than of a practical speaker, but underneath the eye-catching design hides a hi-fi wireless stereo system with a premium 20W Peerless transducer. Clear sounds, quality audio codecs, and a Bluetooth connectivity make the Pavilion just as high-performance as it is beautiful. The materials were not chosen merely for their aesthetic value. The copper coil protected by clear polycarbonate enhances the bass frequencies, while the gray concrete base reduces vibrations to provide better acoustics. At the back, there’s a convenient 3.5mm AUX port for wired devices, while at the top, the handcrafted oak surface features capacitive controls and a small LED indicator. The speaker is compatible via Bluetooth with any Apple and Android device, and the batteries offer around 4-5 hours of playback time, making is easy to move the device around the home as needed. A limited edition Pavilion is also available, boasting extra copper accents added on the body and around the playback buttons. Designed as a showpiece, the speaker combines various materials, including wood, concrete, and copper with matte and clear surfaces to stand out in any interior. But crucially, its good looks are also matched by its acoustic performance. Images courtesy of Hult Design.
