If you’re planning a visit to Amsterdam, The Hoxton Hotel is a great place to use as a home away from home. Opened in 2015, the hotel is located inside a centuries-old building that actually contains what used to be the home of the city’s mayor, back in the 17th century. Five houses and five floors provide the space for 111 rooms where guests can enjoy canal views and the gorgeous architecture of the building; tall ceilings and a blend of original and modern features are enhanced by the use of eclectic and stylish furniture. Perks of staying at hotel include free Wi-Fi, a breakfast bag filled with snacks, and a free hour of calls anywhere in the world. Lotti’s restaurant offers seasonal Italian dishes with a few Dutch influences also appearing on the menu. The guests can relax in leather and velvet armchairs and sofas, eating lunch bathed in the bright sunlight coming from the retractable glass roof or enjoying dinner in the warm glow of dimmed lighting. For larger groups, The Apartment provides the perfect space for meetings, events, intimate parties or even larger celebrations of up to 130 people. Designed to have its own personality and to maintain the ‘Hoxton’ spirit alive, the hotel provides the ideal space where guests can sleep, eat, work, and play. Images courtesy of The Hoxton.
