Inspired by the clean lines of the Oslo Opera House, the Linjer watches blend minimalism and expertly crafted components in a stylish design that adds a touch of refinement to the everyday. The Norwegian Linjer studio has recently expanded its leather goods collection by launching two watch models, The Minimalist and The Classic, both available for men and women. The face of the watches has a white varnish and a beautifully simple design that lacks any logos, letters and numbers, apart from the date reading. The Minimalist comes with a one layer dial and thin lines marking the hours and minutes, while The Classic boasts only hour markings and a two-layer dial.

Designed to stand the test of time both in their aesthetic value and construction, the watches come with a durable and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, a brushed stainless steel case, and a high quality Ronda Swiss quartz movement. The elegant straps are made of full grain Italian leather, vegetable-tanned to ensure the material ages with grace and gains more character over time. For those who prefer to match their watch to their outfit, the studio has implemented an innovative and simple mechanism that allows the wearer to easily replace the straps when needed. It’s a convenient feature, as the brand offers a wonderful choice of strap colorways, including mocha, tan, navy, and black to complement the rose gold, gunmetal, silver, and black cases. The Kickstarter campaign to fund the manufacturing stage ends on August 12, but has already surpassed $450,000 and counting. It’s an impressive feat, especially considering the initial goal of just $15,000. This clearly shows that good design is, and always will be, in high demand. Images courtesy of Linjer.
