The recently announced Moskito Watch looks like a perfect fit for cyclists who want to monitor their performance but also love good design. Made by Moskito, a design studio based in Bern, Switzerland, the watch ingeniously combines a classic chronograph timepiece and a practical bike speedometer in one compact product you can wear on your wrist or mount on your bike.

As a smart watch, Moskito offers a range of information when paired with the dedicated app via Bluetooth, from call and e-mail notifications to battery charging levels. The analog tachometer provides info on speed, distance, average speed, and the best riding times, which you can then easily upload to Strava or Garmin Connect. In terms of design, the watch features a classic aesthetic with its colored hands and large numbers that ensure perfect legibility. The 44mm case, made from CNC machined aircraft-grade aluminum or high-quality stainless steel for the Fly and the Classic models respectively, houses a Swiss-made precision quartz movement and a rechargeable Li-Ion battery. You can find kph or mph versions for both the Classic and the Fly watches on the brand’s Kickstarter page, with a bike mount and USB charger also included. Images courtesy of Moskito.
