Sneaker culture thrives on spectacle. Eye-catching details and celebrity collaborations keep devotes lined up for the latest limited edition drop. Allbird’s new Wool Runners walk a different path. They’re designed for people who seek style and comfort in equal stride.
Designed in New Zealand, they use ultra-soft merino wool and a rubber-foam polymer sole. The lightweight build and all-natural design means they’re more breathable than their attention-grabbing (and synthetic) counterparts. The organic material helps regulate temperature and odor, so they’re safe without socks.

Conceived by Tim Brown, a native kiwi and former professional footballer, the Wool Runner began as a successful Kickstarter campaign. When demand exceeded expectations – he took his concept to a Bay Area entrepreneur to launch Allbirds, which now offers the shoe worldwide. Available in three finishes, they’re a smart balance of understated design and eco-friendly engineering.
