Automotive fans and collectors have plenty of reasons to smile this April. Revealed in Shoreditch, London, the Mini Remastered by David Brown Automotive reimagines an icon in a modern and elegant package. Maintaining the character and retro charm of the original, the company created a stylish vehicle for a new era. This beauty combines the classic ‘60s aesthetic with design cues from the Speedback GT, blending state-of-the-art technology, modern comfort, traditional craftsmanship, performance, and head turning style.

Built by hand over 1,000 hours in the coachbuilder’s new Silverstone HQ in the UK, the car comes with new body panels that feature a smooth surface and clean lines as well as structural support for extra rigidity and sound-proofing for more comfort. A special painting process that lasts four weeks ensures a perfect finish while also protecting the vehicle for a lifetime. The exterior features bespoke aluminum grilles, handcrafted enamel David Brown Automotive badges, an LED rear light cluster, and puddle lights on the retro, bullet-style wing mirror.

Inside, the cabin boasts numerous hand-finished details and premium quality materials, but also a wide range of modern features. Custom sculpted leather seats, a dash with a combination of paint, leather and fabric finishes, a hand-trimmed interior, and an engraved Moto-Lita steering wheel complement the in-built infotainment system, USB connectivity, a four-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the convenient cup holder. A perfect blend of comfort and technology. The classic Mini engine has received an upgrade, with a complete rebuilding process increasing its power by up to 50%. Owners will also have the opportunity to personalize their new Mini Remastered by choosing the color for the body, roof, wheels, and upholstery, among other bespoke details.

At the Shoreditch event on the 6th of April, the company displayed three designs: a standard model and two special editions, ‘Inspired by Café Racers’ and ‘Inspired by Monte Carlo’, which will be made in a limited-edition of just 25 units each. The Mini Remastered makes its public entrance at the Top Marques Monaco show in Monte Carlo, which takes place between the 20th and the 23rd of April. Images courtesy of David Brown Automotive.
