The ingenious and sculptural Oddly Bookshelf revolutionizes a simple product in a creative and complex way. Designed by Seoul-based industrial designer Youngmin Kang, this shelf system provides a playful and dynamic alternative to static, horizontal shelves. It features an elongated frame resting on a small cylinder, with a large wooden sphere traveling on the metal support, guided by the force of gravity. When the user adds a few books on the frame, the sphere moves accordingly, acting as a stopper.

Ingenious and creative, Oddly has a fun and interactive design as well as a sculptural appearance. It combines form and function with innovation, breathing new life into a previously strictly static concept. Geometric shapes, clean lines and elegant curves give the bookshelf a refined and modern look and feel. Oddly comes with a brass or an iron frame in white or black, with an ash or walnut wood sphere and cylinder. Photo credits: Youngmin Kang.
