Following on the footsteps of the Instrmnt 01 watch, the second design by Glasgow-based brand Instrmnt is elegantly simple. And even though its predecessor has a strikingly minimal appearance, Instrmnt 02 manages to simplify the design further. A few subtle changes differentiate it from the first watch. Shorter minute markings, a 35mm case instead of the previous 40mm as well as the removal of the date window create an even cleaner aesthetic. Just like 01, this watch comes partly disassembled, allowing the user to put it together and give the final product a special significance. The two co-founders talk about this clever design decision in a Gessato interview you can read here.

The 02 design has a Swiss Ronda 1063 movement, a PVD-coated steel case, a domed mineral crystal cover as well as an 18 mm Italian leather strap crafted in Germany. Available color combinations include gunmetal/tan, rose gold/brown, silver/black, and black/black. A limited-edition model created in a collaboration with Dezeen features a sandblasted gold case, black strap and a custom engraved back. You can find all of these timeless 02 watches at a price of $240 on the brand’s website. Photo credits: Instrmnt.
