Los Angeles-based French designer Jacques Marie Mage established his eponymous brand to create high-quality and well designed eyewear and accessories. J.M.M is a “small-batch, limited-edition eyewear collection that reflects the designer’s matured vision and refined aesthetic vocabulary, one that boldly reconfigures influences ranging from Art Deco to American Folk to La Belle Époque.” One of the most elegant designs from the collection is, unsurprisingly, inspired by an Italian. Film director, writer, poet, and intellectual Pier Paolo Pasolini favored simple, square frames, which he frequently wore on-set.
The Jacques Marie Mage Pasolini Glasses pay homage to Pasolini’s effortless style. They feature a black/havana tortoise acetate frame with the classic Wellington lens shape from the ‘60s as well as subtle golden rims. The glasses also come with a domed 3D metal cameo and signature arrowhead front pins. Sterling silver hardware, 100% UV protected lenses and custom, double laminated acetate temples complete the design. The packaging complements the elegance of the eyewear: Italian handcrafted leather case as well as a soft silk fabric.
