Eight years after it changed crowdfunding forever, Kickstarter launches a special initiative this summer. A collaboration with 65 artists, designers and creators, Kickstarter Gold will bring back some of the most iconic designs released on the platform. And it will bring them back with a twist. Among the many awesome projects, this one caught our attention. The brainchild of Vlad Dragusin and Candylab Toys, Awesome Toy Cars recreates a few of the brand’s most beloved car designs, but gives them a groovier spin. The Brooklyn-based studio launched its first project on the platform in 2013. In 2017, some of the most popular awesome cars return in a limited edition collection that combines cool colors and creative patterns that pay homage to the ‘80s.

Legend now features a gold and black paint, while Woodie comes with a bright mint paint and an electric green surfboard. The collection also includes an officially licensed Airstream design, the elegant Airstream Camper. The Ghost rounds up the line-up with an eye-catching black and white pattern and bold splashes of color. You can find these cars on the campaign page and get your hands on one – or all of them – until August 1 2017. Prices range from $30 to $135.
