First exhibited at the Strawberry Festival which took place at Shanghai Expo Park, Steven Harrington’s ‘Palm Tree’ sculpture brought the spirit of Californian psychedelic-pop to the Chinese metropolis. The sculpture recreates the artist’s iconic characters, one that often makes an appearance throughout his work. A 12-foot giant that wouldn’t really fit inside a normal living room, the sculpture now returns in a miniature version which stands at 11 inches tall. Great news for art lovers in general and fans of the artist in particular.

In a similar way to ‘The Thinker’, this sculpture features a cartoon-like aesthetic, but significantly more vibrant. Manufactured by Cross Studio Hong Kong, the artwork comes in a transparent vinyl sleeve. ‘Hello Mello’ will be released on July 21 on Steven Harrington’s official site, at a price of $155 – including shipping. But keep in mind that with only 200 pieces, this extremely limited edition will fly off the digital shelves. So if you want one, set your alarm for 12:00 noon PST (Pacific Standard Time).
