SEA ME Rug Made of Algae and Fishing Net

Recently presented during Dutch Design Week 2014, SEA ME is a rug made of algae and reused fisher’s net. The Studio Nienke Hoogvliet design is a handcrafted, sustainable textile. The renewable fabric is knotted to the upcycled base, reducing pollution all around. As one might guess of such a handcrafted design, each piece is unique and sold price upon request.

Frog Table Nab Design

This cute side table, the Frog Table, created by the Parisian studio NAB Design. Made of made of wood and metal, the design stands on four tapered legs and is divided into three compartments for the user’s organization needs. Not to be all business, the end table is lacquered in kelly green for a touch of amphibian whimsy.

Office Furniture Upcycled from Outdated Mac Computers

These benches are made of solid wood and aluminum desktop towers. Originally created for a freecycle event in Freiburg, Germany, the furnishings are designed and crafted by Klaus Geiger. Minimalist WOO Toys by Vrtíška Žák

Czech designer Vrtíška Žák created WOO Toys as minimalist decor for children. The solid wooden sculptures represent an airplane, a bulldozer, and a sailboat, each symbolizing air, earth, and water, respectively. The pieces are feature both naturally finished and colorful veneered accents, available in red or black.
