As far as all-road bikes go, Specialized has set a pretty high standard with the new S-Works Diverge Bike. Announced for 2018, this all-rounder makes no compromises between road and off-road riding. Instead, it aims to redefine what a drop-bar-bike can do. And looking at the specs, it seems to succeed beautifully. First, the bike has a redesigned frame, the stiff FACT carbon fork frame that provides extra tire clearance and also features the brand’s Open Road Geometry. As a result, owners can install tires of up to 700x42mm. The sub 900-gram FACT 11r carbon frame is lightweight for the category, providing rigidity and nimble handling at the same time.

Other notable features include a Future Shock Progressive suspension as well as front/rear thru-axles. S-Works Diverge also comes with a XTR Di2 derailleur, Shimano R785 Di2 shifters and hydraulic-disc brakes, an Easton EC90 SL Carbon crankset, and Roval CLX 32 Disc wheels. Design-wise, the bike looks modern and sleek. It boasts a satin gloss oil/gloss light silver palette which works perfectly with the black handlebars, tires and seat. Specialized also added the brand’s own Road SWAT™ kit that fits various tools, including a tube, CO2, CO2 head, valve extender, and money clip. Function and style blend in a bike that looks ready to take you on any adventure – whether through the city or on winding mountain roads. Photos © Specialized.
