Designed for urban dwellers who also lead active lifestyles, the Evergoods Crossover Backpacks provide the best of both worlds. Simple and modern for the daily commute, sturdy and durable for exploring the world, but also packed with functionality. The project is the brainchild of Goruck co-founder Jack Barley and Kevin Dee, former member of The Forge – Patagonia’s advanced R and D team. With plenty of experience in making products that can handle just about anything in the harshest environments, the two wanted to create a backpack design to suit both adventures through natural landscapes and city living. “When we do get outdoors we want durable product that work, that have the same attention to fit and detail as outdoor specific goods and apparel but have an aesthetic that looks and performs just as well around town,” they explain.
Both the Civic Panel Loader 24L and the Mountain Panel Loader 30L feature top and side handles, full panel loading and top loading as well as side and on body access. The outdoor-focused Mountain backpack also has an extra waist belt and compression straps for more comfort. The backpacks come with padded or suspended laptop pockets, easy-access external pockets, removable sternum straps, as well as ergonomic harnesses. Of course, both feature weather-resistant materials to keep the contents dry and safe, rain or shine. Designed and developed in-house in Bozeman, MT, the Civic Panel Loader and Mountain Panel Loader are both made in the USA.
Launched on Kickstarter, the campaign hit its goal in just four hours. It more than doubled the initial goal at the time of writing, with 28 days still left to go.
